Volunteer Information

We Tree DC…with your help!

  • Volunteer at a Community Planting or Stewardship Event

We work with neighborhood groups to plant trees on public and private property each fall and spring. In the summer, we water and mulch young trees across the city. Join us! We will provide all the tools and instruction, you provide the desire to plant and care for a tree!

Volunteer as an Organized Group. For 10+ people, you must first register with Volunteer Coordinator, Carol Herwig, cherwig@caseytrees.org.

We train Citizen Foresters who are committed to learning all they can about trees and to working with us in the community to insure the health of our urban forest. Our beginning courses are open to all interested in learning more and becoming involved. Courses include volunteer hours that reinforce concepts covered in class and field sessions.
