Growing a Healthier DC

Including trees and other green elements is an important part of the future design of a healthy, sustainable and economically-vibrant Washington, DC.

But how is this done? Why is green infrastructure important, and how can it be incorporated as business districts grow and schools are renovated, for example? To answer these questions Casey Trees has developed a series of issue briefs, available for download at right.

The Growing a Healthier DC series is intended to help community leaders, planners and public officials incorporate green as the District grows and redevelops. The series is a product of conversations with a panel of national and local experts convened in cooperation with District agencies, organizations and foundations. Casey Trees extends our thanks to all who participated in this effort.
