Citizen Forester Program

Trees 101

This module presents an introduction to the urban forest in Washington DC. Participants are taught the basic concepts of tree biology. We discuss how previously collected information is used to develop strategies for restoring the District’s tree canopy. The service component consists of participation in a tree walk.
