Learn the basic environmental concepts to incorporate trees in a yard or garden landscape by participating in a Treescape Design Workshop. Casey Trees' experienced landscape design experts help you create a treescape for your property.

Participants are encouraged to bring photos of their yard, a sketch of the property, location of existing power lines and trees, yard measurements, and an idea of what you would like your treescape to do for your home i.e. provide shade, seasonal color, lower utility bills, etc.

Each participant receives a FREE shade tree (approx. $250.00 value) delivered to their home. Trees made available to past participants have included:

  • Red maple
  • River birch
  • American holly
  • Southern magnolia
  • Willow oak
  • Bald cypress

All workshops are free and include a free shade tree.

Advance registration is required, but the workshops are free.

Please note, all may attend the workshop but only DC residents qualify to receive a free shade tree.

 

Group Workshops

Interested in hosting a Treescape Design Workshop just for your group members? Casey Trees will travel to you. 

Requirements are minimal:

  • Provide a suitable venue
  • Guarantee 25 participants
  • Plant all provided trees in the District
