Tree Rebate
Since 2008, Casey Trees, with funding from the District Department of the Environment (DDOE), has provided rebates to D.C. residents who purchase and plant trees on private property in the District. Select tree species noted for their large canopy and significant environmental benefits qualify for rebates up to $100 per tree. Small and medium canopy trees are eligible for rebates of up to $50 per tree. Trees must be planted on private property - residential or commercial - in D.C. There is no maximum number of rebates that may be submitted per property.

Hickories
Invasive tree species including Norway Maple, Tree of Heaven, Mimosa, Bradford Pear, Sawtooth Oak and Siberian Elm and the Ash tree should not be planted and do not qualify for the rebate. Dwarf trees and shrubs are also ineligible.
Participating NurseriesTrees may be purchased from any vendor including those online. More than 20 Washington Metro Area nurseries have Casey Trees-provided tree rebate materials available for their customers. |
