Sponsorship Opportunities

Individuals and companies interested in taking a leading in the restoration of the District's tree canopy can sponsor a tree planting, education or green jobs training program at Casey Trees. We are happy to tailor sponsorship packages to meet the giving parameters and sustainability goals of our potential partners.

Community Tree Planting

Our Community Tree Planting program helps groups and individuals improve their neighborhoods by planting trees in locations they identify. Casey Trees provides the trees, tools and technical assistance free of charge. CTP recipients commit to watering and caring for the trees the first two years they are in the ground.  Each CTP includes 10 or more trees.

Sponsorships begin at $2,500 ($250 per tree).

Summer Crew High School

Each summer, Casey Trees hires a select number of high school students from the Washington, D.C.-area to care for Casey Trees-planted trees across the District. While the emphasis is on caring for the District’s trees, crewmembers also participate in professional development activities such GIS workshops and engage the public as tree ambassadors on behalf of the organization. More than 95 students have served as Summer Crew members.

Sponsorship is $4,000 per student.

Water By-Cycle

Our Water By-Cycle (WBC) is the nation’s first bicycle-powered program created to water and care for a city’s trees. Conceived as an environmentally responsible and more efficient way to reach trees in congested neighborhoods, WBC teams inspect, maintain and water trees across the District.. Just as important, the WBC teams interact with the public, and in so doing bring the message of tree care to dozens of DC communities in all 8 wards.

Sponsorship is $12,000 per team per year.

Urban Forestry Apprenticeship

Casey Trees’ Urban Forestry Apprenticeship program was established in 2005 to introduce high school graduates to green collar jobs and help them develop professional and technical skills. Apprentices are trained in urban forestry, specifically tree care, and serve as mentors to students in our High School Summer Jobs program. Upon successful completion of the program, apprentices receive help securing permanent employment in the urban forestry field.

Sponsorship is $28,000 per apprentice per year.
