COMMUNITY TREE PLANTING
Casey Trees’ Community Tree Planting (CTP) Program helps groups and individuals improve their neighborhoods by planting trees in locations they identify.
Each spring and fall, Casey Trees plants over 350 trees throughout the District. through its Community Tree Planting events. These efforts help beautify streets, yards, and public spaces, provide cooling shade and increase property values.
Interested community groups select the site, help choose the tree species, provide on site volunteer support and commit to providing long term care. Casey Trees provides the trees, tools and ongoing technical assistance.
All Casey Trees’ Community Tree Plantings take place in DC which means your financial contribution stays local. Underwriters are welcome to select the tree planting event(s) their contribution supports and participate in the tree planting as a volunteer if desired.
