Evan Douglas
Evan, a DC native, is a rising senior at School Without Walls. An extremely active person, Evan enjoys hands-on activities and being outdoors. Evan is looking forward to helping to improve the environment this summer and in his own words, "what other way would I rather spend my summer?"
Jonathan Fuentes
Jonathan is entering the 12th grade this fall at Cardozo Senior High School. Jonathan enjoys community outreach, meeting new people, and hopes to learn more about careers in science this summer.
Jaine Hernandez
Jaine, a senior at Bell Multicultural High School, joined the Casey Trees Summer Crew to help make the District more beautiful. Jaine is adventurous and loves to be outdoors at cookouts, parties or just to read a book. Jaine is originally from El Salvador.
Taiysha Hobbs
Taiysha, a recent graduate from McKinley Technology High School, will be at Virginia Tech this fall. A DC native, Taiysha joined Casey Trees' Summer Crew to make a difference in her hometown and learn more about protecting the environment. Taiysha enjoys reading, playing video games, listening to music, and watching all types of movies.
Heydi Lovo
Heydi is a rising senior at Bell Multicultural High School. Originally from El Salvador, Heydi has been in the UnitedS tates since 2002. Heydi joined the Casey Trees' Summer Crew to learn more about botany. She enjoys writing plays and performing.
Lina Montopoli
Lina is a rising senior at School Without Walls and this is her second year with the Casey Trees' Summer Crew. When Lina is not helping to make DC more green, she enjoys running, biking, reading, and will try anything new at least twice.
Alex Reade
Alex, a resident of Bethesda, is a rising senior at the Maret School. Alex believes that the Casey Trees' Summer Crew will allow him to make a lasting difference in the District's environment and provide him with invaluable job experience. Alex enjoys playing football, basketball, and lacrosse.
Nina Shallal
Originally from Annandale, Virginia, Nina is currently a senior at School Without Walls in DC. Nina joined the Casey Trees' Summer Crew to give back to her community. Nina enjoys playing and watching sports, lounging, and helping to advance environmental causes.
